My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Basil's foster mom:

Basil joined us on Sunday, April 12. So far he is a very submissive dog. He has been getting along well with our golden retriever, Maizy, who is 8 years old. We also have cats indoors that he completely ignores. He does go in a crate at night or when we leave during the day and does not soil in it. He is house trained for poop but does mark and urinate in the house, we are currently working on this house training issue :) He is approximately 3 according to the information we have and is a cocker spaniel. He does bark for a very short period of time when going into the crate at first but likes it if the crate is in a bedroom where people are. He is a huge snuggler and loves to be in laps. He seems to not really understand what toys are even when Maizy tries to entice him with one. He rides great in the car as he has had a trip to the groomer already, he curls up on a blanket and lays down. The grooming appeared to be something new to him and the shaver scared him a bit once it got near his face and ears, although he doesn't typically mind having these areas touched or rubbed. Grooming will be a process we'll be working on. He walks well on a leash and doesn't pull. We are working on basic commands with him and he seems to catch on quickly. We have two teenage children that he loves also and follows people around everywhere.
