My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Carolina. I am a 6-year-old spayed female Shepherd/Catahoula mix. I weigh about 78 pounds, but I could stand to lose a few. I'm a super sweet, beautiful, lovely girl! I'm really friendly with every person I meet, I get along great with other dogs, but I'm not cat friendly. If it seems like I'm always smiling, it's because I am. What can I say? I'm a happy camper!
I first came into the shelter when I was just a puppy. My mom and I were living on the streets, when one day we got picked up and found ourselves in a high-kill city shelter. It was a loud and scary place, but at least we were together. I wasn't sure how long I would be there, but as luck would have it, I got adopted just 5 days later. I was so grateful to have a family of my own. I thought I'd found my forever home, but after 6 whole years, they brought me back to the pound. I have no idea why they didn't want me anymore. I'm such a good girl! My friends here at CageFree must have noticed how well behaved I am, because they invited me to stay at their facility while they find me a permanent home. So here I am, waiting for my happily ever after. I'm a pretty easy-going adult dog, so I would be happy with a few walks per day and some quality time with my family lounging in front of the TV.
