My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Although not a herding breed, Garron is one of those dogs that we have made an exception for because he is all around WONDERFUL!

Garron was dumped at a southern shelter when his owner was deployed and divorced. Lucky for Garron, the shelter Director and a local rescuer saw his potential and sent out a plea for help. A group of dedicated volunteers drove him to CT, each one having progressively more enthusiastic things to say about him. Garron is 4-5 years old and a purebred Rottweiler. He has lived successfully with children and liked to play dress up with his temporary foster home's 4 year old child. Garron seems fine around cats, is a stellar example of a dog who is tolerant with other dogs and just as dedicated a companion as they come.

At his recent veterinary appointment he was polite and sweet. Garron will alert bark at the door and quiet when asked. He pulls a bit on leash, knows some basic commands and likes to ride in the back seat of the car so he can rest his head on your shoulder. He is a super sweet loveable guy.

Have I said I Really like this dog? He is a suitable companion for a quiet lifestyle and enjoys walking or meandering a few times a day. Garron does have a need for a special diet and will need continued joint supplements. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative and on Heartworm and flea/tick prevention.Special consideration to a special home!
