If you don't already know his story...
Dawson was rescued by A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue last Thanksgiving from an abusive owner that broke his back leg requiring a metal plate to fix. Since then he has blossomed into a very happy go lucky, goofball pup! He has learned to trust again and doesn't fletch at every movement anymore! He is learning basic commands and does really well with redirection and positive reinforcement type training. He does not do well with loud scolding as he will freeze stiff(loud, quick redirection are fine).
As you can see by the photos he is fostered with dogs and cats.
He LOVES to play chase, tug, and ruff house with the dogs and then lay down and snuggle in for a nap ??
Dawson is ok/good with cats
I say it like that ONLY because of his energy/excitement level...he would need supervision around cats until until he gets to know them and used to being GENTLE with them.
My cats have physical handicaps so they can't run or jump away and he is learning what GENTLE is. He can get a bit excited and paw at them, with my guidance and supervision, he calms down and lays with them and starts to teeth knead them and loves to lick their ears ??
Dawson loves kids, but with his high energy, it might be best to have a home with older kids(5 yrs and older).
Dawson is looking for a loving home with a loving GUARDIAN(S) that will cherish and protect him and help him to continue to blossom in the years to come!
