Hope's Story...
Hope is a sweet girl who waited at the town shelter for over 2 years to get adopted. She was only 6 months old when she came in, just a baby. Poor Hope has two strikes against her being a pit mix and being black. Neither one of those is ever a reason to not adopt a dog but statistics show they are the hardest to adopt. Hope wants you to know that she is a loving girl that just wants desperately to find a family to love her for just who she is. Hope knows all of the basic obedience commands, loves to go for long walks and would love to find her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Islip Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Islip, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Islip.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Islip already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Islip breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Islip paves the way for another one to be saved.
