I wanna be loved by you, just you,
And nobody else but you

Dixie is a true love bug with an abundance of sweet kisses to give. She is gallantly gentle and wants nothing more than belly rubs and pats on the back. She is doing great in her foster home and is learning leash walking too. Have dogs, no problem, Dixie adores all. If you are looking for a beauty queen with loads of love, Dixie is your girl.

Dixie's adoption fee is $175; she is microchipped and up to date on shots. Dixie recently had eight beautiful puppies. They are weaned and are ready for adoption so Dixie will be spayed soon. If you are interested in meeting Dixie, please contact the shelter at 618-282-7387 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Columbia Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
