Serena's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Serena's Story...
When my owners could no longer care for me, I was brought to DHA. Just under a year old, I am still learning what the world is all about. In my previous home, I lived with kids of all ages and had play dates with other dogs. I am accustomed to leash walks and am said to rarely have accidents in the house. I have to admit, I would do best in a home with a patient family. I would benefit from being with someone who understands I will take time to adjust and help me work through my anxious tendencies. Want to be my miracle? Come to DHA and see if you can complete my world!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serena, a Wilmington Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
