My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID

Handsome Hank is a smooth coated standard Dachshund who is around 9 years old and is the cutest black/tan/piebald mix. He has a nice soft coat and is easy to care for with a bath every couple weeks.

Hank loves to be with his humans with a good belly rub being one of his favorite things. Hank loves to sniff the yard and sunbath on the patio on a nice day while you are working in the garden. Hank has a medium to low energy level and would do well with a 20-30 minute walk every day. Hank is a happy boy and always has his tail wagging and just wants to be part of whatever you are doing and will follow you around to be near you. He will go into another room if he knows there is a comfy dog bed to take a little nap on.

This great boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is currently living with 3 other Dachshunds in his foster home. We don’t know how he is with cats but we can have him tested if you have one in your home.

Hank likes the two teens living in his foster home and goes to them for affection. Hank would do best in a home with someone that is home during the day or in and out often and please no kids under 12.

Hank is house trained but is also dog door trained and will use it if you have one and show him where it is. Hank can sit up like a Kangaroo for a treat, which he will take gently from you. Hank is an easy going boy and just really wants to be a lap dog and have a constant companion to keep him company.

If Hank sounds like a good fit for your family please go to http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and fill out the application and his foster mom will get back to you soon.

Hank is neutered and current on his shots. Hank recently had his first dental and has a clean set of choppers now too. Hank has been micro chipped so he also has a way back home if he ever got lost.

There is an adoption fee of $40
