Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Albert here – and you have to admit, I’m terribly handsome, a more mature gentleman, about 8 or 9 years old, and 40 pounds. I am a Bagel (cross between a Basset and a Beagle). I came with my 8 brothers and sisters out of an abuse situation in Mississippi. Unfortunately, 1 sister didn’t make it out of the shelter. We were horribly undernourished and some of us had a few minor health problems. My foster mom felt sorry for us because we weren’t getting adopted at the shelter and were facing certain death, especially the more “mature” ones, so she brought us to Tennessee. Since we have been with her, we have had plenty of food, have gained weight, and have seen the vet. As we have gotten better and more socialized, we have become available for adoption. I am adorable and have always been one of my foster mom’s favorites. I am the one she wanted to keep, but I have an older brother who needs her more, so she is letting me be adopted. I am very sweet and friendly. I may be mature, but I love to play and I do run around the yard with my foster brothers and sisters. I am crate trained and bark like crazy when I have to go outside. I’ve learned how to jump up and open the back door. I ride well in the car, and love one-on-one time so I can get my belly rubbed. I also give kisses. I am very sociable and love meeting new people.
