My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Happy ... I can’t talk but if I could I would say this about myself. I pretty much live up to my name. I’m black and white and Happy all over. You can tell I’m Happy because I like to wag my tail a lot, especially if I’m getting hugs and attention. I’m a mature lady of five years and a petite 27 lbs, but can be pretty frisky when I’m in my fenced-in yard. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people or dogs, but after that ... I’m Happy!
In the house, I like to lie on the couch or chair and sleep or watch everyone doing their thing. I’m on a pretty tight schedule: I go “potty” when I get up in the morning (outside of course), during the day (you’ll know when because I will start wandering around), and at night when I go to bed with the “pack”. My dog pal, Augustus (a male beagle), and foster parents like to go to bed about the same time. I sleep on the floor in my dog bed but I like to visit my humans when given permission. I’m a little picky about eating--I really just like to be left alone when eating. Oh, by the way, I don’t know too many commands like “come” or “sit” but I’m working on them.
Outside, I love to walk with my humans and Augustus and I’m really good on a lead and will potty on the lead. I’m a real beagle because I like to put my nose to the ground and check out everything. I’m really very quiet--not too many “arooo’s” from me. I’m not much on barking on the lead, in the house, or even when someone comes to the door. I leave all that to Augustus and the humans.
I would really do well in a home with a fenced in yard and humans around me most of the time. I get a little lonely when no one is in the house. I don’t need a crate when I’m alone because I’m a lady and act my age. I do like children--they’re fun and give me lots of hugs.
I don’t remember much about my previous life. I was wandering along the streets and a nice MW BREW lady took me home and cared for me and now I ready to make another family as Happy as I am Happy!
I would love to hear from you if can offer me my fur-ever home!
