Vada's Story...
This sweet girl is Vada. She has been waiting for her forever home for a while. We do not understand why she keeps getting overlooked. Vada is estimated to be about 3 years old and she is super sweet. She was owner surrendered last year and has been in our rescue ever since. She was surrendered with her brother who has been adopted. Vada gets along with other dogs of all sizes but she can be possessive of her food at feeding time so best to feed dogs separately. She is not that way towards humans feeding her. She is okay with cats but does tend to want to chase them if they run but once they stop- she does to. She is currently a bit chunky but that will come off once she is in a more active home. Vada is heartworm negative and on prevention, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Vada really really needs a forever home of her own. She is located in Arkansas but we have transport that comes to the Northeast weekly. The name of the transport is Got Orphans Transport and you can check them out at www.gotransporters.com For more info- please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vada, a albany Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in albany, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
