Levi's Story...
Hello there! Would you be interested in a golden short stack? Well, here I am! I came to the SPCA as a stray, but now I'm ready for my second chance at a forever home. When you are short like me, the world can seem so large and a bit overwhelming. It can all make me just a bit anxious. But, I find the best way to ease me is with some loving reassurances in the form of kind words or soft pets. I am looking for a human who I can look to guidance and confidence, someone to make me feel safe. And, if you enjoy play time, that's just an added bonus. Toys are amazing, especially the soft ones. I am starting to get the hang of fetch and would like someone to help teach me. Since I can be a bit nervous with new experiences and loud noises, I would prefer a quiet home with children (8+) who are respectful of my needs. If you have other dogs at your home, please bring them down to meet me before deciding to adopt. I want to make sure I find my right canine pal. Come visit with me today. Let's see if we are a match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Levi, a Harrisonburg Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
