Ulysses's Story...
Ulysses is a 7 month old neutered male Corgi/Retriever mix that was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina.

Are you kidding me?!? I just can't believe this..people are so nice! So my little brother and I came into the shelter about a month ago, and he's kind of scared. So we've been hanging out in our igloo and watching all the people. Today one of those people came in our kennel. She picked me up and took me away from my brother. I was worried about him, but she was so nice. She gave me kisses, so I rubbed my head on her chest to show I liked her. She kept giving me kisses too. It was weird, but I liked it. She even gave me some hot dogs! When she turned around I really wanted to play with her stuffed rabbit, but didn't want to mess it up. I decided I would play next time. Then we went back to the kennel to get my brother Urv. He was sort of scared, but I tried to tell him it would be ok. She picked him up, and gave him kisses too! He didn't like it as much, but I think he'll start liking it more soon. When we were done playing dress up she took us back to our kennel. My brother was glad to be back in is igloo, but I kind of wanted to play a little longer. I ran up to the kennel door, and wagged my tail so that she knew I had a good time!. I hope she comes back to play again soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ulysses, a Kimberton Corgi/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Labrador Retriever for sale in Kimberton, or seeking a Corgi/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Kimberton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kimberton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kimberton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Corgi/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kimberton paves the way for another one to be saved.
