Pogo is a 7-month-old Long Haired Dachshund who is curious, lively, and adores human attention. He was given up because he was not getting along with the other dogs in the house. The fact that there was a female in heat and another male dog didn’t help matters. Animatch is happy that his previous family brought him to a safe place; they want him to go to a good family. Though Dachshunds do enjoy their time indoors, Pogo needs moderate exercise and that does mean daily walks. True to his breed, Pogo will no doubt be chasing squirrels and other intruders off his property, so a fenced yard to keep him safe would be ideal. There is some work to do on toilet training which is not unusual for these little guys – they hate to go outside in cold or wet weather. A home where he is not alone all day is a must. Pogo does get along with other dogs; he is quite confident around them. He needs an experienced guardian –preferably a true Dachshund lover – who is ready to commit to him for the next 12 to 15 years. Well, do you have a place in your heart and a spot on your lap for this little pooch? Please fill in the adoption form if you would like to adopt Pogo.
