My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abel! He is a 2-3 year old male formentino Cane Corso. He was found as a stray and brought into the local animal control. On his third day of intake hold they found Abel unresponsive in his kennel. Abel had an unknown foreign object in his intestines causing a blockage. He had to be taken to the emergency vet for obstruction surgery and also had some sepsis in his intestines which had to be partially removed. Yesterday he was neutered and it beginning his treatment for Demodex. He is only about 70 lbs, VERY thin and should be right around 100 lbs. He is on the small and short end of for a Cane Corso. His emergency vet bill was $6,000 and we are going to be starting a fundraiser soon in his name to help the AC facility that FOUGHT for his life to help them out and try to get some of that funding raised for them! Welcome Abel!!!!! He is located in Norfolk, VA and is a very scared boy right now, he is on **Medical and Intake Hold**and is NOT currently available for adoption.
