My story

It’s not a coincidence that this sweet, gentle girl is named Hope. Her name not only signifies that she is about to embark on a new and happier life, it also draws attention to the inner strength she has. Hope was recently rescued from a hoarding situation – she came to us dirty, stinky, with runny eyes, and weighing just over 3 pounds. Hope tugs at your heart strings the minute you lay eyes on her. Once you start interacting with Hope, you fall in love – not only because you know what she has endured but because the affection she gives her people is the opposite of what you would expect given what she has been through.

Hope is so incredibly affectionate – she loves human touch and is happy to climb into your lap or be held in your arms to receive the love and petting she craves and deserves. Not surprisingly any interaction with people makes Hope’s purr motor kick into overdrive! If you hear a trilling or chirping sound; you are listening to Hope’s endearing meow as she tries to engage you in conversation!

Hope doesn’t seem to mind the other cats that are in her room. We are thrilled that we can play a part in turning Hope’s life around – fattening her up, cleaning her up, and giving her as much love and attention that we can possibly give her. Now, this is where you come in…Hope needs someone to open their heart and home to her so she can live the full and happy kitty life she was meant to live!
