Max is born 6-28-14 so just turned 1 yr, weighs about 70-75 tallish (about 26 inches tall) pounds and still has growing and filling out most likely will be in the 80 plus pound range once full grown
He's lean with a thinnish build that of a Vizslas
Max is NOT a hunting dog he's a companion dog
Max was a family raised until recently when the older folks decided he was too large and too much dog for them so gave him up
He was never in a pound but always loved had some training and will want to continue with his new family
Max has a great loving personality and energy but not hyper great house manners he is a housedog and has a big fenced yard to romp in
A daily walk or two play and snuggle time be great
we know his history since he was 8 weeks old living in one home only raised with love by two adults with grandkids around as young as 2 yrs old but did not live with kids, an older child over 12 yrs would be fine in a dog experienced home as he still tends to jump some when excited
Max loves toys, catches water from the hose
he loves to play fetch and LOVES treats so can easily be trained, he does know sit and did lay down come etc but he is still a pup so continued training to ensure a well trained adult dog
travels great in car
good on leash unless excited
he's a very handsome boy that loves to be around people, go for long hikes be part of the family
Loves car rides, housebroke and crate trained
took him inside the petstore and he was a hit and he LOVED it he was so happy and excited it was fun to watch
he loves being social but also loves long nature hikes, outdoorsy type folks that like to go camping hiking etc be ideal
He's looking for people that truly will fall in love with him
We are looking for someone home during the day or more home then not that has breed or dog experience
older nice kids over 10 or 12 are fine but has no problems with young visiting kids either
he loves everyone and tries to walk up to everyone to get pets
Max is a great dog
He sat nicely waiting for two very yappy crazy little dogs to pass by when we where walking so he will be fine with other dogs just has never got to play with any in his prev home
He has met many dogs through fencing and seems to just want to play so could learn how too still young enough
He has no problems passing bikes strollers etc
He's not a barker nor escaper
Treats will make him do anything yummy chicken or duck jerky
Max is only looking for a true dog lover that knows what loving and caring for a dog is all about
a down to earth type family that has a lot to give to receive and deserve the love of a dog
This is a precious boy that whomever is chosen to adopt will have many happy years
He's ready now to start the next chapter of his life in a home where he can blossom have fun be happy
