Pluto's Story...

Sweet Pluto is a 1 year old Golden/Corgi blend who was turned into a shelter down in Georgia and they were terrified! Because of how scared they were, adopters didn’t want to give them a chance, well we did! We won’t ever know what he went through prior to getting to us, but Pluto needs some time to learn what it means to be a pet. He is learning to trust people slowly as he realizes we won’t hurt him. He loves all his dog friends. Pluto will require a special family that will have patience with him and let him develop trust and love in his own way. - See more at: http://foster2homeinc.org/portfolio/mars/#sthash.wXn5qcq4.dpuf

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pluto, a Arlington Heights Golden Retriever/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Corgi for sale in Arlington Heights, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Corgi dog from a breeder in Arlington Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Corgi breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
