My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gabby- All's well, what's a rainy day? Never mind that cloud, behind that cloud you'll find a golden ray. - Gabby from 'Gulliver's Travels' 1939 Yes baby Gabby so your own story goes. Gabby is a 4 month old honey and white Great Dane/Hound mix. She currently weighs 35 lbs. so she's going to be a BIG girl when she grows up. She ended up in rescue by way of being dumped at an adoption event of all things. Their loss for sure and no doubt just as well. Gabby has a big fun loving personality to match her big puppy paws. She's a sweet girl (full of puppy personality) learning to do big girl things, She is currently working on her house manners, potty training, and crate training. That's a lot to learn in such a short time for big little girl but she is progressing quite nicely. Gabby will need a family who fully comprehends that she is going to be a large companion which comes with bigger dog food and vet care. In other words, if you can't afford to care for Gabby when she is full grown then you can't afford Gabby. We are not trying to discourage any potential adopters but want you to be realistic for Gabby's sake. We certainly do not want her dumped again due to finances or the fact that she got BIG. If you love big sweet puppies who grow up to be big sweet girls the Gabby may very well be the one for you. Gabby does well on leash and likes to go for walks (this also helps work off excess puppy energy hint hint). Gabby loves kids, other dogs, cats, and lots of toys (she's gone to need some BIG toys too). Gabby is current on all her vaccinations, preventatives, and will be spayed before being released for adoption. Gabby's rainy day turned out to be pretty sunny in the end. There is a ray of sunshine hiding behind every cloud. We are looking for Gabby's big golden ray where she can learn and grow in the safety and security of a happy loving forever home. If you want BIG love for many years to come.....well meet Gabby.
PUPPIES GROW INTO the expectations of their families through consistent love,
caring and training. Puppies cannot be adopted to homes where they are left alone
for more that 3-4 hours.
PLEASE REMEMBER: The speci?c breed of any dog abandoned to a shelter is the best guess of seasoned rescuers in agreement with their veterinarians.
