Baker's Info...

Baker's Story...
Chained in a yard in rural Alabama, a lab mix had 8 tiny pups in early February. Rescued by us, she was been able to nurse and wean her puppies in safety and comfort.

Baker is one of those sweet babies. He was born and remains the biggest of the litter. He's gentle and sweet with his siblings and loves playing with his brothers and sisters and being held.

The puppies in this litter look like a grab-bag of breeds so we believe there were different fathers involved. Bissou, the mother (please see her listing too), appears to be a red lab mix.

Email adoptions@homelesspets.com or call 770-971-0100 for more info. Or fill out an adoption application, found at www.homelesspets.com/adoption-form.

Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and one free check-up at Town & Country main vet clinic within 14 days of adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baker, a Marietta Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
