Sarah's Story...
Hi Everybody,
I'm a sweet girl that just arrived today in Lake Oswego, OR, after being rescued from a high kill shelter in Apple Valley, CA. I'm dog, kid, and people friendly. (I don't know about cats, yet.) I'm also house trained, leash trained, crate trained, and kennel trained, and very well behaved indoors and out. I'm staying at my foster family's house over the next two weeks while I finish out the tail end of my heat cycle and get spayed prior to adoption. In the meantime, my rescuer is taking applications in order to find me a forever home filled with love and activities to keep me bright and beautiful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a Lake Oswego German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Lake Oswego, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Lake Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
