My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Monty is the pup you want to have around! Monty, at just about 12 - 18 months old and approximately 12 lbs, is initially a bit hesitant...then the most bonded and loving guy around. Monty enjoys his time with his foster mom so much that he joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! Monty loves his people more than anything..he's a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from his time spent with kind, dog-loving people.
This incredibly adorable pup exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Monty's tough early life has left no visible scars on the personality of this devoted and sweet pup. His bond to his people leads us to believe that Monty would be happiest in an active retiree's home. He would blossom with the time and attention that this type of family would offer. Monty is also so portable at just 12 or so lbs that he is able to accompany his family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane or riding shotgun in the car, Monty is ready and willing. He is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, his joy starts with his little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on his cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, he's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Monty is all over it. Off he'll go in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Monty has an amazing attitude for a dog from a scary shelter... but it was his great temperament that saved this sweet pup's life.
Monty would be very happy in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of hugs. A beginning positive reinforcement obedience group class will create additional family bonding as well as promoting great behavior and confidence. Monty, being a Poodle/Bichon is a non-shedding pup who would be great for those who suffer from allergies. Monty will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his beautiful Poodle coat silky-soft and matt-free. Sorry about the awful photo of this truly beautiful dog. Monty had to be completely shaved (and they cut his head crooked!) in order to get rid of the thick matts that made it difficult for him to walk. He's now free and his pure white hair will grow back true to the beauty of his breed mix.

Monty will arrive on transport in Denver on 4/17/15. If interested in this sweet and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
