I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Darla's Story...
AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area.

Darla is an adorable 1.5 year old pocket pittie who loves to cuddle, run and play in the yard, hike, smell new things, and spend lazy days in bed with her foster brother. She has the sweetest temperament, and looks like a puppy even though she's fully grown! She is spayed, crate trained, house broken, and just learned to sit. She is a very calm and easy-going little dog. She gets along well with other dogs, and has recently discovered cats - which is going well. She would be a great addition to any home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Richmond Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
