Jake's Story...
Jake’s the name and I want to be a part of your gang! I am a 9 year old Congo African Grey. I would love to have a female owner but will tolerate a male in the house. I am a little chatter box and like to wave hi. Hi! I’m not a fan of dried peas and will leave them on the bottom of my food bowl (hoping, maybe you would like them better). My favorite hobby is the dance but you have to dance too!

Our adoption application and procedures are located on our website under the adoption information tab. If you have any problems with the application, please email us at obparrotrescue@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Redlands African Grey was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a African Grey for sale in Redlands, or seeking a African Grey from a breeder in Redlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even African Grey breeders who help with African Grey rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
