Shirley's Story...
Shirley
1.5 years
Black and white

I’m a precious, loving girl with two dots on my coat: One big black dot on my shoulder and one small black dot on my nose. I should have been named Dotty – funny! Instead my first foster mom named me Shirley since I was rescued together with my buddy Laverne. In foster care, I’m a snuggler – I love to be close to my person – sleeping on the bed or on the couch. I’m a lap kitty once I get to know you and feel comfortable.

My life could have turned out worse since I was born as a feral kitten in a trailer park in Pottstown. Lucky for me and several other cats such as Laverne and Julius, a kind rescue person took me in and got me all my needed vet work. She helped me learn to trust and be social so that I am the purrfect kitty when you take me home. I really like Julius and Laverne…so in case you were looking to adopt two kitties, one of them would be great as we’re all friends.

I’m fully vetted now – ready to bring my sweet and loving self to your heart and home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shirley, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
