My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darby is a wonderful, laid back fellow of about 2-3 yrs old. Darby came to the rescue after he was brought into the shelter covered in terrible wounds that had scraped off skin and exposed the meat underneath – he had some very deep gashes and lacerations. Our best guess is that he was hit by a car, and “rolled” on the pavement very violently. Darby enjoys the company of other laid back dogs, and likes to spend the day relaxing. He is doggy door trained. He loves his stuffed toys – doesn’t seem to have much ball or prey drive. Darby is shy meeting new people because of the trauma of his past. He warms up fairly quickly though, once he trusts you. Darby would enjoy a patient, laid back family. He is a big love bug once he knows you and would enjoy a daily walk and chillaxin’ on the couch watching TV with his human.

As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet & greets with an approved application! Here is the link:
