Rita's Story...
This sweet girl is Rita. She was found in the middle of a busy intersection. Fortunately a good Samaritan stopped and got her out of harms way. She was very clean and looked like someone had been taking good care of her so we felt for sure someone would claim her but after about 3 weeks- no one has come forward for her so now she is looking for her forever home. Rita looks to be a lab/mountain cur mix and about 5-6 months old at the most. Whatever mix she is- she is one of the happiest and friendliest pups we have ever had! She loves everyone and every thing! She currently weighs about 25-27 pounds and will be completely vetted before going to her forever home including spay, vaccines, wormed, etc. Rita is located in Arkansas but we have transport that travels to the Northeast every weekend to deliver adopted dogs. The transport is Got Orphans Transport and you can check them out at www.gotransporters.com For more info and an application on Rita- please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com Thank you for considering one of my rescues

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rita, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
