My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archie is a stunningly handsome Bombay/ black DSH mix kitten who was born in the fall of 2014. He has a soft, sleek, and gleaming coat that is like black patent leather as well as mesmerizing round copper-penny eyes. He is lithe and agile despite his deceptively heavy, muscular body. He was found under a house crawl space and turned in to a kill shelter before he was rescued by his foster mom.
Archie is friendly with his human companions once he warms up to them. He is not shy about jumping on the bed to be petted or, if his foster mom is giving attention to another cat, butting in for scratches and belly rubs. After life on the streets as a small fry, now he knows how good her affection feels. He rubs against her legs because he has learned what snacks are and anticipates her morning and evening treats every day.
Archie really likes to play with toys and other kitties. He and another cat in his foster home have a tight "bro-mance" where they play and groom each other. He will do best in a home with other cats and experienced human companions who will patiently continue to spend time with him. Won't you give this sleek, beautiful little panther (and Blossom, for that matter!) a lifetime of love today??
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the 2-3 minute You Tube video that appeared on Animal Planet by Googling "Cats 101 Bombay."
Archie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, de-wormed, free of fleas, and ready for his indoor-only home. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the purple contact button so we can arrange for you to meet this sweet little panther.
