Laney's Story...
This small cat is so friendly, she'll knock you down! She wants to be held, carried on your shoulder, and she wants to purr in your ear. She's very petite so carrying her around is not a problem. She loves to watch the TV, in fact you'll have to look around her if you want to watch it too. Honestly, Laney is one of the most unique cats we’ve every met. She does the strangest things….we’d love to know how her mind works! Also, she's super friendly with all other types of animals. She keeps her pit bull friend clean (see the video) and often naps with the dogs. To meet her, please email info@FORrescue.net. You can get a head start by completing our cat application at http://forrescue.net/cat-application/. We look forward to talking with you!? Laney is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laney, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
