Blanca's Story...
Blanca is a poodle/bishon frise mix who weighs 12 lbs and is about 3 ½ years old. She is a great, easy going dog who is trained with puppy pads. She is not a barker and does not seem to be fearful or aggressive of anything. She has medium energy and is described as silly, playful, happy, and outgoing. Blanca will not eat dry kibble so we mix her food with chicken. (She is such a smartypants she’ll pick through the kibble and only eat the chicken!). She sleeps at the foot of foster mom’s bed and cries when she leaves for work. Watch out if you take her in the car. She may jump out the window if you leave the window open. She is a super cuddlebug and gets so excited when her person walks in the door. A perfect little girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blanca, a Encino Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise for sale in Encino, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
