Rusty's Story...
Not much needs to be said for Rusty, mostly because he’d like to speak for himself. Come visit PAAWS RI, and it won’t be long before he tries to start a conversation with you. Even if you’re talking to another cat, this boy wants in on the watercooler news. An happy coincidence is that Rusty lives on the top level of our cat condos, which is perfect for him, because it gives him a good vantage point to climb out and ride on visitors’ shoulders. This cat will let you know, on no uncertain terms, that you and he were meant to be best friends… We love how he shatters the stereotype of cats being boring and aloof; he is anything but that. Swing by Rusty’s cat condo and find your soulmate today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
