Hi!! My name is Chibs. The people who take care of me now found me staying at another shelter that didn’t have enough space for me anymore. They’ve gotten pretty fond of me here, but I’m really hoping to find a family of my own to love. I’m just as happy to go on a walk running and playing with you as I am to stay inside curled up on your lap watching TV with you. I’m still really young so I would do great learning anything you wanted to teach me. I also get along with all the people I’ve met so far and I get along pretty well with girl dogs, though I’m not too sure about other boys yet. If you think I would make a good member of your family, please come see me and give me a chance to show you what a sweet boy I am.

About Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic and Ranch

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Society of Greater Jupiter/Tequesta d/b/a Furry Friends was founded in 1985 and was the second humane organization in the state of Florida to open a low-cost spay / neuter hospital. With between 7-10 million animals a year being killed in our nation’s shelters, Furry Friend's mission first and foremost has always been to reduce the over population of unwanted pets in our community. We do not believe that euthanasia is the answer to dealing with the pet over population crisis. Our charitable hospital offers low-cost spay / neuter services. We have sterilized over 75,000 animals over the past 24 years, preventing hundreds of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born and thousands more from being needlessly destroyed.

A few years after establishing the charitable hospital, Furry Friends opened one of the only true no-kill shelters in South Florida. The shelter reserves it’s space for animals who have been abused, neglected, injured and abandoned. We are a charity surviving on donations alone, and our capacity is limited. For the welfare of the resident animals, we cannot exceed our capacity. Cages are not vacated by routine euthanasia. They become available only through adoption.
