AUTUMN's Story...
I am happy to present to you one of the STRONGEST yet SWEETEST little kitties I have ever met! This is Autumn. She was born on the streets and made her home in a sweet elderly feeder's backyard. One day the feeder noticed that Autumn's eye was severely infected. As I rushed over ready to administer antibiotic eye ointment, I was shocked at what I saw and have never seen anything like it before or since. He eye was literally popping out of her head and looked like an actual meatball both in size and color. There was no pupil to be seen, it was just a round, brown ball sticking out of her face. She was immediately brought to the vet, who informed us that Autumn's eye would have to be removed. There was NO saving it. Fast forward, Autumn has now had her surgery to remove her eye and if it weren't in such an obvious place, you would never know she was any different from any other kitten! She in fact turned out to be such a sweet, loving little girl who LOVES to be petted and has the loudest PURR I have heard yet! Autumn is a strong little girl who has been through a lot in her short life, but now she needs & deserves to enjoy her kittenhood in her very own forever home! Please contact me if you can make Autumn's dreams come true!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AUTUMN, a Ridgewood Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ridgewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ridgewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
