My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NeNew York is a 2- 3 year old terrier who weighs about 15 lbs. We do not yet know if he is housebroken. New York is new to rescue so we are just finding out about this sweet boy. He does not seem to be a barker and gets along well with other dogs. He knows SIT. New York is a sweet tempered boy who plays well with others. He loves attention but can also be left alone without problems. New York’s story is very sad. He was kept in a small cage covered by his own feces and urine and treated badly. One brave person who saw the way he was kept rescued him but cannot keep him. She would not take him to a shelter as she wanted him to have a chance at a good life. He can be a little skittish on the leash and outside but he will cuddle on your lap like a baby if he gets the chance. He has a gorgeous silky coat but does not shed and he can be shy when first handled by new people. The person who rescued him risked a lot and spent her own money to try to save this little boy’s life. But he urgently needs a place to live. Please let’s show her her efforts were not wasted and get this boy into a good home where he can live the life he deserves.
