Microchip number: 900108001776886

A Good Samaritan found Q-Dan wandering on the streets so he brought the dog to an animal hospital for a microchip scan.  Q-Dan was registered under his foster family’s contact.  Q-Dan’s adopter was reached and upon investigation how the dog got lost the adopter revealed that the dog was brought to a park everyday and left unattended because the dog knew his way home.  Realizing how irresponsible and clueless the adopter was who had the dog for two years, the foster decided to re-home Q-Dan.

Q-Dan’s left front leg was injured.  Although the leg has completely healed and doesn’t bother him or affecting his mobility, he doesn’t use it much.  Like all terriers, he’s energetic and likes to take the lead in a walk.  He gets along with other dogs but does have a habit of marking territory especially in the presence of other male dogs.  He has mild food aggression with dogs so separate feeding is recommended.  He barks when someone approaches the residence therefore he’s more suited for a single detached house.  He’s best as the only dog or as the second dog to a friendly and easy going female resident dog.

Q-Dan is one happy dog.  He’s highly food driven, intelligent and trainable.  He learned to sit and wait for treats just after a few repetitions.  We are looking for an moderately active and patient family willing to work with Q-Dan’s marking behaviour and house-training.

Please consider Q-Dan for your new addition. The adoption fee is $150.  A home check will be arranged to make sure the environment is suitable to the dog's needs. Please note that CERA does not have a shelter facility in Vancouver BC, so consider this adoption carefully.
