Dexter's Story...
Handsome Dexter is a 1 1/2 year old Silky Terrier mix hoping to find his new leash on life! He was unfortunately brought in as a stray and no owners were able to be found. He is a super sweet boy and has yet to met someone he doesn't love! He gets along great with other dogs and would enjoy having a friend in his new home that he can play with. He likes to go outside and sniff around at all the exciting smells out there and once he's done, he's right by your side hoping for some pets and cuddles. He is a snuggler and would like to hang out and relax with you on the couch after a long day at work. Dexter is microchipped, neutered, and current on his vaccinations; all he's missing now is a place to call his own! He's available at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook so swing by and visit with him today! We're open every day from 12-6

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Benbrook Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
