Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Courtesy Post* Private Owner Looking to ReHome Dog.
*Quiet, low-traffic home needed..No Children (he's afraid of them indoors).*
Sampson is about 6 1/2 years old, 50lbs with a thinner frame. He is looking for a home without children. Not that he's mean towards them, he is simply fearful of their energy. His current home has two very active children at the ages of 2 and 4. Sampson hides when the kids play. This wonderful family has had Sampson since he was 5 months old. Of course, they didn't have the children then and he was fine when they weren't so active. As they age, however, he is fearful of the unpredictable energy and the family hates to see him so afraid. And as they grow and become louder, he becomes more fearful.
Sampson is a completely different dog outdoors; he is truly in his element when outside. He is confident, agile and so fun to watch and interact with. He does "crazy dog", running in circles playfully, and he socializes so well with the kids in this environment...total opposite than when indoors. It is as if Sampson feels more comfortable not having a physical boundary when around the children.
Overall, Sampson is a sweet, sweet dog! He is the most compassionate, loving "wanna-be lap dog" you've ever met! He simply becomes anxious around loud situations or high energy people.
Sampson needs a low-traffic home in order to be fully happy and comfortable. He would be great on out-door adventures..hiking..walking..etc. He is great with other dogs. He's never been around cats but can't imagine him being harmful in any way. He will need a period of adjustment (as most dogs do) into a new home to adjust to a new routine, new people, etc.
If you have a quiet, loving home and would love some well-mannered, house-trained companionship, contact Sampson's current family via Sarah at schapic@yahoo.com or 216-407-1633 (evening is best for phone calls).
