Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daffodil could be that dream come true pup for a family or active retiree who loves spending their time with a cottony-soft and very sweet companion. The Bichon Frise/Poodle mix is a perfect combo for those with who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog. Her story is all too common in her extremely close call to being euthanized in a scary Texas shelter....but who could ignore her adorable manner and desire to bond with anyone who would be her best friend? Daffodils's engaging and adorable nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated. Her outgoing and social temperament lead her to ultimately become a friend with everyone she meets. She is such a wonderful being...we think she represents the best qualities of the Bichon Frise. She seems to have completely left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up her early life. At about 18-24 months old and 11 lbs, Daffodil is a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would love to see Daffy in a home that includes her in family time and activities...she's very social and would thrive in a family that truly loves her and considers her a very important family member. Daffodil would also be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. She doesn't require another dog to be happy...but does enjoy her canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs.
Daffodil will do well with anyone who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure....it can be a leisurely walk, a visit with friends (with or without their dogs), a car ride on vacation or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to Daffodil's trustworthy, gentle temperament and extremely loving ways. She appears to be a non-shedding or very lightly shedding pup and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep her coat healthy.
Daffodil will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 4/17/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
