My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

During June, adoption fee reduced to $100

Minnie was found as a stray but, no owner ever came to claim her. She is heartworm positive but, not symptomatic and is on slow kill heartworm treatment. This is not contagious and with continued treatment provided by the rescue she will become negative. She was adopted by a wonderful family and was good with the kids but, was returned because she was food protective with their energetic larger dog. She seems to do fine with dogs her size or smaller. So I suggest a household without a dog larger than her or one that is very calm and laid back and older children.

Minnie is available for adoption through Double E Rescue Ranch. Adopters must live within 250 miles of Copperas Cove, Texas.
The first step of the adoption process is to complete the adoption application on our website at www.DoubleERescueRanch.com
After receiving the application we will contact you to further discuss the dog that your interested in and schedule a meet and greet.
Our adoption process also includes a home visit and adoption contract.
Due to the fact that the majority of our dogs are small in size or older in age we generally do not adopt to homes that have children under 10 years of age for safety reasons. We will possibly consider it on a case by case basis, depending on the personality of the dog.

The adoption donation fee for Minnie is $200 and includes the following:
-Current on DHPP Vaccine
-Current on Bordatella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
-Current on Rabies Vaccine
-Spayed/Neutered
-Microchip
-Heartworm Tested and on monthly prevention if they are negative and on slow kill heartworm treatment if positive. (slow kill medication will be provided with the adoption.)
-6 Months of Heartworm Prevention
-Bag of current food
-Collar/harness and Leash if needed
-Lifetime support from the rescue
