C.J.'s Story...
Want a playful sweet young companion look no further!!!!!!!!!

CJ is a 8 month old boy who was surrendered because his family could not care for him and his sister Charlotte properly. They were living in a garage with little contact with a family. When they came to SASS they were very fearful of people and didn't even know what a dog treat was. After some love and a nice clean warm bed they have decided they are loving life just as a puppy should. They are running around the yard playing with other dogs, playing with toys and liking treat time!!

Although we would like to see these 2 siblings stay together we realize that may not be possible. They deserve a loving home with a family that will give them the life they deserve.

CJ will both be neutered up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, on flea and heartworm preventative, routine bloodwork, groomed, free 30 days of insurance and ready for his new home.

Adoption Donation is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

C.J., a Urbana Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
