My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A Cata...what??????? That's what most people say when they hear of my breed. It's Catahoula and I am proud to say that we are the state dogs of Louisiana. We were originally bred for hunting wild boar and working cattle. I have never seen a boar or a cow but I think that sounds like fun! As a result we are a high energy breed that will require a minimum of an hour of activity a day.

My siblings and I were born into rescue when the people that bred my mom had their circumstances change and couldn't take care of a litter of puppies.
We are now 8 weeks old and ready to find our forever homes. The lady at the foster home I live in said she really wants people to research my breed and make sure they have an active enough life style and time for a dog like me. We do make great family pets but only for people who make sure we get out and burn off all of our energy and give us a job to do. Our breed is known for crazy spotted coats and sometimes blue eyes. Like mine ( pretty cute, huh?)

If you think you have the energy to keep up with me or one of my siblings we are available from K9 Kindness Rescue. Our adoption fee is $300 with $75 refunded when we are spayed or neutered. (I'm not sure what spayed or neutered means but it sounds like fun!). Adopters must live within 100 miles of Davenport, IA.

We have all seen a vet and are microchipped, wormed and have had our first shots. Hope to find my forever home soon! That sounds like the most fun of all!
