Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mara...
Mara came to us because we saw a facebook post to help save this girl. She was dumped out front of an animal shelter along with a buddy. They were closed and the person didn't have the courtesy to wait for them to open. Unfortunately, Mara's little buddy didn't make it. He was hit by a car. A very good citizen stopped to pick them both us and saw the other one get hit. They saved this little girl. She was very scared and timid when they first got her. She was petrified and not doing well at all in the shelter. So we stepped in to help her realize not all people are bad.
Mara has definitely not had a good life. She has had a least a couple of litters and she was completely hairless when she came to us. This could have been a multitude of reasons. Poor diet, allergies, flea allergy, having too many litters (having pups can make them blow their coat), alopecia (this is actually common in Min Pin's).
She is now spayed, up to date on all shots, hw negative, microchipped and hair is growing back! Good diet, no more puppies, supplements added to her food and love and she is doing wonderful!
She loves loves loves to play with her foster brother. We definitely want her to go to a home with a buddy. She needs a fence and lots of play time. But give her some time to run and play and she is the sweetest cuddle bug ever. Those eyes are beautiful, sweet and full of personality. She has come a long way since we pulled her and she is ready to show you how much she can love her person. Please consider giving Mara a forever home.
