Cougar was owner surrendered to Idaho Falls Animal Shelter because her owner went into assisted living and the people who tried to keep her were unable to because they had young children.
Cougar will make a great dog for an older couple with no young children. She does best with adults and older teenagers. She is very sweet. She is house-trained and quiet. She is mellow indoors, but also really likes to go for walks. Cougar is OK with other dogs, but she would probably prefer to be an only dog where she doesn't have to share the love and attention. We think she would be fine with cats, but haven't tested her to be positive, yet.
Cougar is about 8 years old and is a spayed female Shepherd.
Please don't pass Cougar up because of her age. She needs and wants a new family just as much as the younger dogs. Besides, she's out of the puppy stages and just ready to be a mellow well-behaved companion her last couple years. Please give this sweetheart another chance!
Cougar's adoption fee is $125 which includes her spay or neuter surgery and vaccinations (rabies and parvo/distemper). We show dogs by appointment or at adoption events. If you would like to meet Cougar, please call and leave a message with Lisa (Director of Four Paws Rescue) at (435) 752-3534 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be patient with us getting back to you as we are all volunteers with full-time jobs! Thank you for your interest in sweet Cougar!
