My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our new litter of fluffy adorable pups - born on 3/24/08. (They were named after characters in the new movie "The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian".) Their story is typical - a couple allowed their dog to have "just 1 litter", even though they didn't want a litter of puppies. Their plan was to give the pups away free to "good homes", not knowing the horror stories behind that type of scenario. Fortunately, a Tassie's Hope foster mom heard about the soon-to-be-born litter and was waiting with a safety net when the husband decided, just 6 weeks later, that the unweaned puppies had to go. Lovely. The good news is, their mom is now spayed and the puppies are thriving in their foster home. They are loving, playful balls of fur with constantly wagging tails. Keep in mind that these pups are a mix of very active breeds, as well as herding breeds: Border Collie, Aussie and Lab. They will be very active adult dogs and will need to be in homes that are equally-active. They will also need obedience training a few months down the road. This breed mix can quickly become unmanageable when untrained - and an intelligent, high-energy dog who is bored will become destructive. The pups' foster mom is a trainer and is involved in canine agility, so she would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the pups. Our $250 adoption fee helps offset the cost of: vet exam, worming, 3 rounds of puppy boosters, plus spay or neuter surgery when the pups are a little older. If you are up for the challenge and would like to make one of these babies a permanent member of your family, please click on this link to submit our adoption application form: www.tassieshope.org
