Preacher is a gentle, beautiful tabby who loves to play and be pet. Although he enjoys hanging out under the bed, he is easily lured out when called, touched, or offered food, or a string to play with. He loves to chase after string, running and sliding around the apartment and jumping all over the bed in order to catch that string! He also likes other toys that you can dangle or toss around, but can get frisky and might nibble on your finger if he catches them. Aside from a playful nibble, he never bites, hisses or swats.

Preacher seems to know only to scratch on the scratching post (instead of our couch), and is completely litter trained. He loves to be pet, especially on the neck- you will know with his loud purring. He won’t usually stay on your lap, but he will be close by. Currently he is an only cat with no kids in the household, so we are unsure if he would enjoy being around other cats, dogs, or young children. Preacher would love a forever home where he can play and be pet, but also have some quiet time to relax and sleep in a place where he feels safe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Preacher, a Vancouver Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
