My name is Pistol Pete. I am a 5 year old red n white male Pembroke Corgi. My brother Diesel and I came to rescue because our owners had to many animals and were giving us away. Neither of us has ever lived indoors, we were working dogs on a farm and allowed to just run free on the property. Right after we got to CCR these nice folks found out that we have jealous tendencies toward each other over attention and food, possibly from lack of human attention and we might have had to fight over the food we got.
I am heartworm negative and I was crypt orchid. I am now neutered. For whatever reasons, I look older in the face than I really am, not sure why. I am a lover boy, sweet and gentle. I enjoy love and being held on your lap. I am adjusting well to living indoors but will still need help on house manners as I have always been kept outside except while I was a young pup. I am doing well with crate training. I hope to find a loving home with a safe, secure fenced yard to play in and hang out when I are not in the house. I want a better life and to be very loved. I can only be adopted out to a home where I will be kept as a family loved companion, an inside dog and your best friend to share your life with. I must never be allowed off lead, or be kept outside around farm animals. I am a sweet, wonderful guy and I will be a great addition to your family.
