Dixie III's Story...
Hey there, I’m Dixie III. I’m a 3 year old girl and I weigh 57 pounds. My owner contacted AGB because she takes in a lot of stray dogs and I had to be tied out back so I wouldn’t get into the road. She felt this was unfair and wanted a better life for me. I get along well with other dogs and I love kids. I ride nicely in the car. I haven’t quite gotten the hang of walking on a leash yet, but it you spend a little time with me, I am sure I will get the hang of it in no time. Remember, I have been an outside dog so there are things you will need to teach me, but I am smart and willing to learn so I am sure you can turn me into one of those lapdogs in no time at all. I am currently being treated for an ear infection and heartworms but my AGB friends say they will help me get healthy and ready for my forever family. If you have room in your family for a sweet, smart loving girl like me, I hope you will contact AGB and ask for me, Dixie III. I will be waiting to meet you. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie III, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
