Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meow, and hello. My name is Kiara. You might want to grab a tissue before continuing to read my story. Yes, it is that sad. You see, I was attacked by a dog and wounded pretty badly. That’s sad on its own, but it gets worse. My person did not get me medical attention and my wound became infected. When I was finally relinquished to MaxFund, the staff didn’t think I would survive and I was in a lot of pain. I spent a lot of time recovering and I am now healthy and ready to move forward. While I have recovered physically, I am still working on an emotional recovery. I am very scared and unsure of having people around me. I want a home of my own, that’s for sure, but it will take a special person who can see my potential. I will need someone with a lot of patience and love, who can help me learn how to feel safe and to trust. Needless to say, I do not want to live in a home with a dog (plus I am declawed so I have no defense mechanism), and it is best if I live in a home without young kids. Sometimes I feel like giving up and I get depressed. But the folks here at MaxFund tell me how brave and wonderful I am, and to have faith that there is someone out there for me. So here I am, waiting and hopeful. The question is, where is my family. I am deserving of a fresh start and I hope that you will be the one to give it to me. I will be here until you come for me so don't delay!
