My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Requirements:
Fully, Physically Fenced Yard
Another well mannered dog
Kind and gentle man (she's leery of new men) or no men at all.

Olive is what we call a 'velcro" dog. She is constantly at your side no matter what you are doing. She will wait for you while you're in the shower, watch TV with you, go on walks, whatever you are doing, she wants to do. She will never be out of your sight.

This devoted girl arrived in rescue pregnant. She was extremely frightened and leery of everyone. She was found as a stray so we don't know what has resulted in such fear. She was a great mommy, however, and had her babies just a few weeks after being rescued.

She has a great temperament around other dogs. She likes to play and sleep in a dog pile and play tug a war, but the thing she loves most of all is her "person". She would make a GREAT companion to a single woman wanting some company and a loyal friend! Not to mention some safety at night, etc.

Olive seems to be frightened of children. And she does take to some men but is frightened of many men as well. She will not bite but she'll do a low growl under her breath. On the flip side, there are some men she'll trot right up to and smell their hand.

She is 100% house-trained and crate-trained though she doesn't need to be crated and she is non-destructive to household items. I say it that way since she can rip apart a tennis ball you give her in two minutes flat! So, toys, look out. Owners belongings, those are safe! :-)

Olive needs a quiet home with an owner she can develop a close bond to. I know this is a tall order but she hopes its doable! She'll be nervous at first in a new home but with patience, she will readjust.

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
