Hi my name is Ed but my friends call me Eddie. I'm a 4 year old 11lb terrier mix and boy do I love everything! I love walks, hikes, running around the yard and car rides too! Snuggling and belly rubs might be my favorite though so if you have room for me on your lap I would be so very happy. I'll jump into your lap at any height!
My foster mom says I'm the perfect house guest. I am crate trained, house broken and I adjust very quickly to new environments. I am very quiet in the house, but I will bark when new people come over. I love my foster family! What can I say I'm a happy go lucky kind of guy. I love to play with dogs, and I play very appropriately. Even my grumpy old foster brother enjoys my company and initiates play with me, and he never does that! I'm good with cats too!
I would do best in an adult only home. I do show some resource guarding behavior with food and high value items. Sometimes I will get tense and growl if I am approached while I am eating so I will need to work on that. I also can be unsure when meeting new people. My foster mom will put me in my crate or outside when new people come over and then let me out and I am totally fine and will jump right in their laps! When new people walk into the house and I am able to greet them I do get nervous and will bark at them. My tail never stops wagging and I am such a happy boy, and I am at my cutest when I have 1 ear up and one ear down! I know how to sit for a treat and I run in circles when I get excited. I will need an experienced owner who can work on building my confidence, giving me boundaries, and trading for high value items.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
